Eighteen months of careful planning - over in ten short days.
I'm sure everyone says the same thing after a vacation: once you're home, you almost feel like you never left.
If you think about it, there are many things we do in our lives that take a whole lot of work for just a relatively short amount of enjoyment. Like spending hours wrapping Christmas presents, only to have all your hard work ripped to shreds in a matter of minutes. Or waiting in line for an hour to enjoy a 60 second roller coaster ride.
But we keep doing these things, because although the payoff is short...it's SO worth it!
Despite all the time it took to plan, our family had an amazing time enjoying one of the most beautiful places on Earth; the islands of Hawaii!
What better way to experience it all over again than to blog about it, and share a few photos with you...
Ours was a land & sea vacation. We first spent a few days at a resort on Oahu, then boarded a cruise ship that hopped from island to island.
The benefits of the cruise is that we were able to see many different places in a week. The cons were that we didn't really get to see everything we would've liked to see in any one place.
But, as I always say, it's important to leave something you haven't done behind so you'll have a reason to go back and visit again.
All in all it was a magical trip, a photographer's dream location, and we now have wonderful family memories that will last a lifetime...or at least until we get a chance to go back and do it all over again. Someday! :-D
